Q. What is the Scottish Drinks Festival?

A. The Scottish Drinks Festival is a celebration of Scotland’s unbeatable and utterly world class drinks profile. From whisky to gin to rum to liqueur to fruits wines, you’ll be hard pushed to find better than Scotland can offer. We bring a huge selection (over 150 drinks!!!) under one roof for you to sample and learn about while enjoying a fun and informal festival atmosphere. There will also be top class Glasgow street food on offer, a touch of live music should you fancy it and other drinks from across the world.

Q. What do I get for the ticket price?

  • Short answer: Loads. However, here is a breakdown:
  • Entry to the first drinks festival to feature Whisky, Gin, Rum, Wine and Beer under one roof!
  • Sample a selection of over 150 whiskies, gins, rums, wines and beers!
  • Free glass to take home (worth £9.99)
  • Festival Programme including £10 of discount vouchers  for purchase of take-home bottles
  • Live music
  • Chat with the people behind the brands and learn a little about why Scotland has the greatest drinks profile in the world!

Q. If I really love a drink I sample, can I buy a bottle?

Yes, you can indeed. Stirling based specialist “The Scottish Gantry” will be on hand to provide you with any bottles you’d like to take home. There is also £10 of discount vouchers in your festival program given to every ticket holder at no extra charge.

Q. Do I need to bring money?

All sampled drinks are included in the price but if you want to pick up any extra bottles, glassware or street food you will need to part with a few pennies. Most suppliers will take card payment but it’s worth mentioning that if you prefer cash, there is no ATM in Briggait.

Q. I don’t really like whisky, will I still have a goodtime?

Oh yes. There is an abundance of other delights on offer such as gin, liqueur, wine, rum and beer.

Q. Is there any food available?

The best of Glasgow’s street food providers will be on hand to feed any hungry bellies and satiate any requirement for nibbles.

The Scottish Drinks Festival is held in the iconic Briggait in the Merchant City, Glasgow on Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of August 2017. The address is: The Briggait, 141 Bridgegate, Townhead, Glasgow G1 5HZ

The Scottish Drinks Festival curates a celebration of drinks, sampling, food, music and Scottish culture. Under the spectacular roof of The Briggait, one of Glasgow’s most iconic buildings, situated on the bank of the River Clyde we will showcase an authentic and credible Scottish drink tasting experience in an unexpected and memorable way.
